A dad has ruffled some feathers after claiming that being stay-at-home mom isn’t hard and that women are lying about the work it takes to run a household.
Content creator Cass Casperson shared his controversial views in a TikTok video, where he admitted he may get ‘canceled’ for his thoughts but voiced them anyway.
‘To all the stay-at-home moms, I feel like you’re lying,’ he declared in the short video shared to the platform.
‘Because of what I get to do for work, I can still stay home and pay all the bills, and my wife will have to go to work to make her money,’ the 23-year-old said.

Casperson explained he has a one-year-old daughter and he stays at home and takes care of her on top of his job.
‘I can give (my daughter) three meals a day, change her on time, get her down for her naps, play time, arts and crafts time, and still make sure the entire house place is clean,’ he boasted.
The confident dad added he can clean the whole apartment before midday, while watching his daughter.
While Casperson, who didn’t disclose what exactly he does for work, acknowledged that everyone has a different situation at home, he admitted he still didn’t understand ‘when being a stay-at-home mom becomes hard.’

Casperson’s post sparked a heated response in the comments section, with over 12,000 people replying to his video.
‘I was stay at home dad for five years with three kids. Easiest job I ever had,’ one user wrote, describing it like a ‘vacation every day.’
‘The excuses are insane. I was laid off for six months with two kids. Easiest six months of my life,’ another man agreed.

‘My wife is a stay-at-home mom of two kids. One just started school and the other is a feral toddler. You’re on easy mode right now champ. Update us when you have a kid who can move and has malice in their heart,’ a third person wrote.
‘Excuse me? Did you give birth? Did you through postpartum? Have you had fluctuating hormones because of your female anatomy your whole life? You do realize men are physically stronger and are capable of taking on PHYSICALLY, right?’ one furious woman responded.
‘This is absolutely ridiculous,’ she continued. ‘And not to mention that many stay at home moms DO thrive if their partners are not absolute BUMS and energy vampires! hope that helps.’
According to a study published by Pew Research in 2023, fathers represent only 18 percent of stay-at-home parents.

The research also stated the reason mothers and fathers give for not working for pay differ significantly.

In 2021, 79 percent of stay-at-home moms said they took care of the home or family.
Around nine percent said they were at home because they were ill or disabled, and the remainder cited that they didn’t work because they were students, unable to find work or retired.

It’s not the first time a content creator has incited fury over a video about stay-at-home parenting.
Last year, a TikTok user claimed that being a stay-at-home mother doesn’t qualify as a job, resulting in a tirade of furious messages.
The creator, Jared Sayre, claimed that the role of a homemaker is ‘not a job whatsoever, it’s a privilege.’
He questioned: ‘Do you know how many single mothers are out there that actually have jobs and have to come home and do your job?’

Sayre continued his argument and said: ‘I was laid off from work for four months, and I had to stay home, and it’s the easiest s*** I’ve ever done in my life.
‘I can do all the daily responsibilities that come with taking care of a house in no time and then other than that all you have to do is watch your kid.’
Sayre, who seemingly has no children, added: ‘And I’m not knocking stay-at-home mothers, I have respect for them, and I honestly think the world needs of them because it’s good for the kid.’
He concluded: ‘You can’t take a nap at a full-time job, you can’t watch TV at a full-time job, you have someone watching your every move at a full-time job demanding that you do what they say.’
