OpenAI Prohibits ChatGPT From Providing Medical And Legal Advice To Users

uaetodaynews.com — OpenAI prohibits ChatGPT from providing medical and legal advice to users
According to the new rules, ChatGPT AI will not be able to provide individual advice, assess the legal risks of a specific scenario, formulate a defense strategy in court or create procedural documents.
In the medical sector, diagnosing diseases, prescribing medications, and choosing doses, as well as interpreting medical images such as X-ray images, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and images of skin injuries, were prohibited.
When a user attempts to request such information, ChatGPT will only provide general reference information and strongly recommends contacting a licensed professional – a doctor or attorney.
According to the company, these restrictions come to enhance user protection, and apply generally to all of the company’s products, including the chat interface and API (Application Programming Interface).
In addition, OpenAI announced its intention from December to relax the adult audience content policy for ChatGPT chat.
According to company president Sam Altman, users who pass age verification will get access to a less censored version of the chatbot, including erotic material.
At the end of September, OpenAI added a parental control feature to ChatGPT. The new functionality allows parents to link their accounts to their teen’s account and modify age restrictions.
