Who Is Chip And Joanna Gaines Nepo Baby Daughter As She Joins Parents On HGTV Interior Design Show

Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines’s eldest daughter Ella is set to play an integral role in the couple’s new series Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House.

The 19-year-old student, who is the second oldest of the husband and wife home renovation duo’s five children, is tasked with designing one of the spaces on the upcoming show.

Ella’s job was officially revealed in the program’s first full trailer, which was released last week.

Speaking in the clip ahead of the December premiere, mom Joanna says: ‘Chip had an idea to let our daughter design the little cottage.’

‘I’m accepting your challenge,’ Ella replies to her mom as she steps through the threshold.

Fans have already expressed their excitement at Ella’s involvement in the couple’s latest project and are looking forward to her injecting new creative ideas.

Commenting on the trailer, one said: ‘Love these two and their construction and design sense. Also, using their daughters in this project brings new ideas… can’t wait.’

Another wrote: ‘Love that your daughter is getting into the family business.’

‘Wow, can’t get over your daughter all grown up now,’ a third said. ‘Watching episodes in Australia are older episodes. Love watching your shows.’

Joanna recently heaped praise on her daughter’s eye for design during an appearance on the Today show.

Speaking to co-hosts Craig Melvin and Savannah Guthrie in August, she said of Ella’s college dorm room: ‘She is very into design, and she has her own unique style, so I stepped back and I let her do the whole thing.

‘It was really what she wanted.’

That same month, mom Joanna also revealed that she has been tasked with keeping her daughter’s plants alive while she is away at college.

Alongside a video of Ella’s bedroom, which was decked out with ample greenery, she said: ‘When Ella went off to college, I became the caretaker of her plant babies. I hope these pretty plants like me as much as they liked her!’

At the time of writing, Ella has kept a low profile on social media and has her Instagram account set to private.

Chip and Joanna, who have been married since 2003, are also parents to Drake, Duke, Emmie, and Crew.

This isn’t the first time that their children have made appearances on television.

Between 2013 and 2018, the youngsters made cameos on Fixer Upper during its HGTV run.

In recent years, however, they have taken a step back from television appearances.

The new series marks the first time Chip and Joanna have worked on a renovation outside of their home state of Texas.

‘I want it to feel like something that I put together for my family,’ Joanna says in the show’s trailer.

‘The only reservation is the idea of doing a project of this magnitude outside of Waco, Texas,’ her husband adds.

Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House premieres December 9 on HGTV and Magnolia Network. It will also be available to stream on HBO Max and Discovery+ on the same day.
