Gayle King appeared to put aside any career concerns to celebrate the news of another grandchild.
The CBS Mornings anchor, 70, revealed on Thursday that she is set to become a grandmother once again as her son Will Bumpus, 38, is expecting his first child with wife Elise Smith.
The joyous announcement came weeks after reports claimed that King could be pushed out of her presenting role in 2026, although she has denied claims she is going anywhere.
Taking to social media, King uploaded photos and videos of a star-studded bash held last weekend to reign in the news.
Best friend Oprah Winfrey was among those present at the party and posed for a photo alongside King and the mom-to-be.
Footage from the special day also showed baby photos of Bumpus and Smith on display.
Guests were invited to sign a guestbook and color their own baby block for the unborn child.
Another clip showed that Bumpus delivered a rousing speech where he expressed his gratitude for all the love and support he and his wife have so far received.

Captioning her post, King said: ‘Breaking news! Our family is growing!’
She said that her son and daughter-in-law had ‘just given me permission to share photos from Sunday’s baby shower and their baby shoot.’
King added: ‘They can’t wait, and neither can anybody who loves them!’
The broadcaster also voiced her excitement at her growing brood in an interview with Oprah Daily, in which she said she ‘can’t wait to see them become parents.’
‘They are over the moon and I’m right there with them ready to report for duty for anything they need,’ she added.
The pregnancy announcement means that King is on track to become a grandmother for the third time.
Her daughter Kirby, 39, is mother to three-year-old son Luca and daughter Grayson, 18 months.
Last month, longtime CBS Mornings host King, who joined the morning show in November 2011, pushed back on a report claiming she would soon be booted from the anchor chair.

While leaving the network’s studio, she told TMZ: ‘All I can say is this – from what I’m being told by everybody inside this building… is that they want me here, they like the job I’m doing, I like the job I’m doing.
‘I’ll tell you this – I like the job and the people that I work with.’
Her comments came after Variety reported that she could step down when her contract is up in May to take an unspecified role at the network.
Insiders told the publication that King may not be purged from the network entirely, as she may get a new contract to produce specials.
‘What I’m hearing in the building is not what I’m reading in the press,’ King added to TMZ.
‘And what I’m not going to do is negotiate in the media. All I know is I am here and glad to be here.’
CBS News also insisted there have been ‘no discussions’ with King about her contract that runs through May.
‘She’s a truly valued part of CBS and we look forward to engaging with her about the future,’ they added.
