Kia Recalls About 80 Thousand Cars In Russia!
uaetodaynews.com — Kia recalls about 80 thousand cars in Russia!
A statement issued by the Russian Federal Agency for Standardization and Technical Standards (Rosstandart) indicated that the recall campaign will affect 79,884 Sportage cars that were manufactured in Kia factories in Slovakia in the period between 2010 and 2015, and sold in Russian markets during this period.
The statement noted that the recall took place after discovering problems in the “HECU” unit present in the aforementioned cars, so that this unit will be replaced, and maintenance work will be carried out at Kia’s expense. The car owner can know whether his car is of the category that was recalled by comparing its “VIN” code with the list of codes found in the recall statement published by Kia agents in Russia and the agency. (Rosstandart).
It should be noted that Kia had recalled 29.1 thousand Sportage cars in Russia last winter, due to a technical defect that could have potentially caused a fire in the engine compartment of those vehicles, and the campaign included cars that were manufactured between 2014 and 2016.
