Iran Develops Safe Nanopolymers Without Toxic Substances

The company’s CEO, Engineer Ahmed Yauri, said that the increasing demand for plastic materials with healthy and durable properties has strengthened the company’s direction towards producing advanced nano-containers and composites, used in sectors including textiles, packaging, electronic industries, agriculture and building materials.

Yauri pointed out that the company, which was founded in 2018 and began industrial production in 2019, has an annual production capacity of up to 4,500 tons, supported by advanced laboratories and modern manufacturing lines, which made it one of the most prominent emerging technology companies in this field. The antibacterial polyethylene compound is its most prominent product, after it was launched commercially two years ago and adopted in wide industrial applications.

He stressed that these nanomaterials are free of toxic compounds such as arsenic and antibacterial organic compounds, and their effectiveness depends on nanoparticles and their advanced mechanisms. Its production requires precise control at every stage, from preparing the particle suspension by sonication to mixing it with polymers and turning it into ready-to-use granules.

He added that tests such as transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) are used to ensure complete uniformity of particle distribution, while microbial tests determine the final performance level.

Yauri pointed out that these products have entered various production lines, especially in the textile sector, which relies on resistant polypropylene compounds. He concluded by noting that the company seeks to expand its production capabilities and strengthen its local partnerships in parallel with opening new export markets.
