Catherine Zeta-Jones shared a series of adorable throwback pictures to Instagram on Tuesday in celebration of her 25th wedding anniversary to husband Michael Douglas.

The Oscar-winning couple got married at The Plaza Hotel in November 2000, after they welcomed their first child together, son Dylan Michael Douglas.

The first photo that Zeta-Jones, 56, shared was a snap of them at their wedding, as they shared a kiss on the grand marble steps at the iconic hotel.

Zeta-Jones was wearing her wedding dress, a silky, v-neck gown designed by Christian Lacroix.

It featured a long, voluminous skirt, which trailed down the steps in the photo, and she also had on a long veil.

Douglas, now 81, for his part, looked handsome in a black tuxedo and boutonnière.

Another photo showed the first time that the two had met, which was at the Deauville Film Festival in 1998.

The snap showed Zeta-Jones gazing longingly at Douglas as he seemed to be chatting to someone.

She also included photos of them traveling to India together, as they posed in front of The Taj Mahal, a loving selfie where their heads were pulled closely next to one another, and a photo of Zeta-Jones seemingly trying on a gown for her husband in a dressing room.

The final two photos in the carousel were shots from their wedding, including them walking down the aisle in front of their guests.

They held hands and looked out towards the crowd, with Zeta-Jones looking especially elated as she clutched her beautiful bouquet of purple and white flowers.

The last picture saw them kissing on the dance floor, during what was presumably their first dance.

They were surrounded in gorgeous candles as they wrapped their arms around each other.

But even though they may have tied the knot 25 years ago, Zeta-Jones’ love for Douglas appears to be unchanged, as she wrote in the emotional caption on her anniversary post.

‘Twenty five years ago today, I walked down the aisle,’ her message began. ‘The intoxicating aroma of flowers, the glow of the candles, the resounding harmonious Welsh choir and you at the end of the long walk waiting for me, looking at me the way only you can.’

‘I love you today as I did then. Thank you sweetheart,’ the actress concluded her note.

In the comments section of her post, a slew of A-listers shared their well-wishes for the couple.

‘Happy anniversary!!’ wrote actress Joy Sunday.

Actor Emilio Rivera typed, ‘Happy Anniversary, I wish you both many years of happy.’

Actress Aurora Cossio also left a red heart in the comments section.

Over the years, Zeta-Jones’ and Douglas’ relationship has remained extremely strong, especially as Douglas was diagnosed with stage IV squamous cell carcinoma oral cancer in 2010, according to Oral Cancer Foundation.

He was diagnosed after he experienced a persistent sore throat.

Thankfully, he is now cancer free, beating the disease a year later in 2011.

‘I check every six months,’ Douglas told French outlet Paris Match in 2019, according to People Magazine.

‘I believe, and I hope, that I’ve escaped. One thing is certain, my cancer has made me a free man.’
