For someone who has been wearing make-up for at least 20 years, I’ve never been particularly good at applying it. There was the phase when bold eyeliner flicks were all the rage – mine were always a tad wonky. Contouring baffles me. I find for me it adds a lovely warmth and depth to the lips without any need for precision. I can swipe it on without looking in a mirror, and the pay-off is enough to help me look alive no matter how little sleep I’ve had, but because of the lip-balm like formula it doesn’t require any careful lining or tidying up.
