Oddities In The English Premier League.. Everton Star Was Expelled After Quarreling With His Teammate During The Match Against Manchester United (video)

In the 13th minute of the match, Everton defender Michael Keane got into a verbal altercation with his Senegal international teammate, Idrissa Gueye, after one of Manchester United’s dangerous attacks.

Television footage showed that Guy tried to pass the ball to Kane, but the latter did not pay attention, so the ball deflected to Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, who shot it hard and it passed next to the Everton goal.

Guy soon became angry with his colleague Ken and went to him, starting a heated argument between them that quickly developed into a fist fight.

The referee surprised the Senegalese player by showing the red card in his face, justifying his decision as an “assault on his colleague,” even though the footage showed that they both exchanged pushes.

According to the “Squaka” network, which specializes in football statistics, this is the first time that a player in the English Premier League has been expelled due to an argument with a teammate since 2008, when Stoke City player Ricardo Fuller was expelled after he slapped his colleague Andy Griffin during a match in the Premier League.

It is noteworthy that Everton, despite having to complete the match with ten players from the 13th minute, succeeded in achieving a valuable victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford, with a clean goal scored by Kiernan Desprey Hull in the 29th minute.

With this victory, Everton raised its score to 18 points, occupying 11th place in the table, on goal difference behind Manchester United, who is in tenth place, and Tottenham, who is in ninth place.
