Aldi Australia has brought back a fan favourite item – just months after leaving shoppers ‘devastated’ when it was quietly discontinued.
The popular Choceur Liviano Hazelnut Crème, which customers claim tastes just like Kinder Bueno bars but costs only a fraction of the price, has returned to shelves.
The crispy golden wafers, thinly layered with milk chocolate, sandwich a light hazelnut cocoa cream filling.
An excited shopper broke the news on Redditconfirming: ‘They’re back. This is not a drill. Hazelnut Livianos are back at Aldi.
Many were thrilled by the announcement, with one customer saying: ‘OMG, thank you! I’ve been desperate for these for so long.’
‘This is the best day of my life,’ another revealed.
‘This is the best comment I have read in days, months even. Thank you,’ one shared.
‘You have made my day,’ another added.
Aldi Australia has surprised shoppers by bringing back the popular Choceur Liviano Hazelbnut Crème after it was quietly discontinued earlier this year
One shopper referenced a famous line from The Simpsons, joking: ‘Don’t make me run, I’m full of chocolate.’
While another joked, ‘I hate you so much for telling me this’, hinting that they will now have to race into Aldi to stock up on the popular item.
Those who got their hands on it confirmed: ‘Bought one the other day and I almost fell out of my chair.’
Meanwhile, those who never tried the chocolate wondered what the hype was about.
‘What is it!? I feel like by the responses I really need to get some,’ one shopper said.
One fan replied: ‘It’s like a Kinder Bueno but better’ to which the curious shopper responded: ‘Yum! I didn’t know it was possible for them to even be any better – they are so good as is. Off to Aldi tomorrow I go.’
The news comes just five months after shoppers noticed the chocolate was missing.
‘For the last two weeks the Aldi Liviano Wafer Bars Hazelnut have been out of stock and today there isn’t even a place for them on the shelf,’ a shopper said in late June.
‘Sounds dramatic, I know, but I am practically addicted to these things at this point and I don’t know what is happening. If they’re discontinuing them I’ll probably cry.’
‘I’m so upset I’m fully addicted to them (too), no other sweet treat compares,’ another revealed.
‘Please tell me they’re coming back. I’m addicted,’ one shared.
‘It seems they have discontinued upon the research I have found. Very sad times. Distraught,’ another added.
Well, good news for Aldi fans as the chocolate has made its comeback.
