Samsung Surprises The World By Launching Galaxy Z TriFold, The First Tri

After months of leaks and initial renders, Samsung officially announced the first tri-folding smartphone bearing the nameGalaxy Z TriFold. The device runs on the One UI 8 interface based on Android 16, with clear improvements to the multi-window system, where three full applications can run side by side in portrait mode. The Z TriFold is also the first Samsung phone to support Samsung DeX independently. This allows the interface to be transformed into a desktop mode without the need for an external monitor, so that the device turns into a portable workstation when a keyboard and mouse are connected.

Despite its large size, the phone is only 3.9 mm thick at its thinnest point thanks to the Advanced Armor Aluminum frame. While its weight is 309 grams and its dimensions are 159.2 x 75 x 12.9 mm when folded.

The phone supports the IP48 standard for water and dust resistance. It comes with a large 5600mAh battery divided into three cells, with support for 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.

In terms of performance, the device is based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor with 16GB RAM and two storage options of 512GB or 1TB.
