Honor Magic8 Lite Launched With A Giant Battery And 6,000 Nits Screen!

Today, Honor officially announced the Magic8 Lite phone, becoming the latest addition to the Magic8 series after the company had previously reviewed it in an unboxing video last November. As its name indicates, the Magic8 Lite is the cheapest member of the family, and represents the new generation successor to the Magic7 Lite that was launched last January.

Honor introduces the Magic8 Lite phone with a huge battery

The phone depends on the processor Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 From Qualcomm, with 8 GB of RAM, and storage options including 256 GB and 512 GB. The front panel includes a 6.79-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1200 x 2640, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, along with 3,840 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming technology, and a brightness of up to 6,000 lumens, which is a very high number in this price category.

As for the cameras, the Magic8 Lite comes with a 108-megapixel main camera, with a 5-megapixel wide camera, while the front camera comes with a 16-megapixel resolution. Honor confirms that the phone relies on a huge battery with a capacity of 7,500 mAh, with support for 66-watt wired charging, which makes it one of the largest phones in the series in terms of battery capacity.

The phone has multiple protection ratings, including IP66, IP68, and IP69K for water and dust resistance, and Honor says that the device is able to withstand falls from a height of up to 2.5 meters on some hard surfaces such as marble, which enhances the impression of durability in its design. The Magic8 Lite will be available in three colors: Forest Green, Midnight Black, and Reddish Brown.

Despite the good specifications, the phone comes with a clear negative point, as it runs on Android 15 with the MagicOS 9 interface. At the same time, Google introduced Android 16 about six months ago, which puts the system a step back compared to competitors who started moving to the latest version.

The phone’s dimensions are 161.9 x 76.1 x 7.76 mm, and it weighs 189 grams. The company has not yet revealed its official price.

But Honor has confirmed that the Magic8 Lite will arrive in European markets in January 2026. See also: Magic 8 Pro battery life and charging speed test.
