The Crofton Seafood Dinnerware range has returned to the budget supermarket’s famous middle aisle – sparking excitement among homeware fans once again.

For the past few years, Aldi has launched this limited release dining set annually, and each time eagle-eyed shoppers are quick to note that the plates, bowls and trays are reminiscent of the upmarket brand In The Roundhouse.

This year’s collection embraces the current appetite for colourful illustrated tableware, with the 2025 range introducing a distinct coastal theme.

Some of this year’s bright and joyful designs feature lemons, tins of sardines, radishes and chillies.

There’s even a simple design featuring a plate with a knife and fork accompanied by the classic Italian phrase: ‘Bon Appetit’.

But the clear standouts are the seafood-themed plates showing lobsters, crabs, prawns and fish.

Under-the-sea inspired images pop up throughout the range, including on the statement servingware plates, which are all priced at $14.99.

Made from high quality porcelain, there are a few fishy designs to choose from, including a rectangle lobster tray, a large round plate with a blue fish and citrus wedge motif, or a scalloped round plate decorated with brightly coloured anchovies.

For those who prefer an Amalfi Coast vibe, you’ll also find a rectangular ‘limone’ tray or a circular serving plate adorned with cherry tomatoes.

The dinnerware options in the range include plates, bowls, side plates and dipping bowls – all coming in packs of two andpriced at $6.99. These dining pieces are also made of high quality porcelain and are dishwasher safe.

Aussie woman Liliana was among the first to get her hands on the new range, and recently posted an excited

‘This has made my whole entire year,’ she said as she proudly displayed the collection. ‘I cannot describe how excited I was when I saw them.’

As predicted, Liliana said her standout pick from the range was the lobster-themed dinner plates. ‘This is my favourite,’ she confirmed.

Her video quickly inspired other shoppers, with one woman even commenting: ‘Didn’t even finish the video and am walking to the car watching the rest to see if I can get some.’

Many were stunned by how gorgeous the Aldi dinnerware looked.
