Huawei officially announced the Huawei nova 15 series in the Chinese market, which represents the company’s latest mid-range phones. The series includes three versions: nova 15, nova 15 Pro, and nova 15 Ultra, with a completely new design that adopts the “double rings” language in the camera unit, in addition to clear improvements in performance, photography, and battery.

First, Huawei Nova 15 Ultra and Nova 15 Pro

Subscribe new 15 Pro And the Nova 15 Ultra in most basic specifications, as they come with a 6.84-inch LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 1320 x 2856 pixels. With a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 4000 nits, with Kunlun Glass protection. The front hole contains a 50-megapixel selfie camera, along with a 1.5-megapixel multi-color spectral sensor.

On the back, the two phones are based on the new Nova design, with a difference in the configuration of the cameras. The nova 15 Ultra gets three 50-megapixel cameras with RYYB sensors, including a main camera with a variable lens aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0 with support for optical stabilization, a periscope lens for optical zoom up to 3.7 times, in addition to a 118-degree wide-angle lens. As for the nova 15 Pro, it comes with a 50-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 13-megapixel wide lens, all of which are RYYB.

Both phones have high water and dust resistance standards that include IP68 and IP69, and are powered by the new Kirin 9010S processor, which Huawei says offers an 18% performance improvement compared to the previous generation. They also support satellite connectivity and run HarmonyOS 6.0 straight out of the box.

The two phones include a 6500 mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 100-watt fast wired charging, while the Ultra version is unique in supporting 50-watt wireless charging.

The phone includes a 50-megapixel main rear camera with a RYYB sensor, along with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens and a color spectral sensor.

The nova 15 runs on the Kirin 8020 processor, which is the same one used in… new 14 Pro And the Nova 14 Ultra, with promises of a performance improvement of up to 42% compared to the Kirin 8000 processor in the previous generation. The phone also supports satellite connectivity and runs on the HarmonyOS 6.0 interface, with a 6000 mAh battery and 100-watt wired charging, in addition to the IP65 resistance standard.

Huawei has begun opening pre-orders for the nova 15 series via the Vmall store in China, with shipments officially starting on December 27, with prices starting from 2,699 yuan ($383) for the nova 15 version and up to 4,999 yuan ($710) for the nova 15 Ultra version with a storage capacity of 1 TB.
