Michelle Obama’s youthful visage left fans doing a double take after she and husband Barack Obama shared a new Christmas snap.

The couple, who celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary in October, marked the holiday by sharing a loved-up photo with their followers on social media.

Former First Lady Michelle, 61, looked younger than ever in the upload as she showed off her slim physique in a figure-hugging lacy black dress complete with a rollneck shrug sweater.

Meanwhile, ex-President Barack, 64, looked effortlessly cool in a khaki-colored bomber-style jacket which he wore over the top of a black sweater and trousers.

The pair appeared completely smitten as they smiled for the photograph, with Barack’s arm wrapped around his wife.

Captioning the upload, Michelle, who has been subjected to Ozempic rumors recently, wrote: ‘Merry Christmas! Barack and I send you our heartfelt wishes for a blessed holiday and joyful start to the new year.’

Fans went wild over the post and noted that the couple looked as if they were ‘aging backwards,’ and some even mistook Michelle for their oldest daughter Malia, 27.

Flooding the picture with praise, one said: ‘Aging like fine wine. Happy Christmas.’

Echoing a similar sentiment, a fourth wrote: ‘I almost thought this was your eldest daughter with Barack… Ma’am you’re aging backwards.’

‘First Lady looking like a snack,’ said a fifth while another fawned, ‘Oh my, she’s getting hotter by the minute!’

Michelle married Barack in 1992 and the couple share two daughters, Malia, and Sasha, 24, who live in Los Angeles.

Over the past 12 months, the couple have faced ongoing speculation about their marriage status.

The rumor mill swirled after Michelle’s decision to skip both Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration – but she later insisted they were decisions she made for herself.

In July, they addressed divorce rumors on the Michelle’s podcast.

‘There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I thought about quitting my man,’ she said passionately about Barack.

She continued: ‘And we’ve had some really hard times.

‘So, we had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures, and I have become a better person because of the man I’m married to.’

Recently, Michelle has been speaking at length about her style and feeling comfortable in her body since leaving the White House.

‘Now I feel like, whatever I do, I don’t have to explain it or it doesn’t have a consequence in that way,’ she said.

‘It wasn’t that I resented that, but I was representing (the White House) and now I’m just representing me.’
