Spears shares her two sons with ex Kevin Federline.
Back in November, Federline appeared on an episode ofTalk Shop Livewhile promoting his new memoirYou Thought You Knewand shared that Spears has been in contact with their two sons Preston and Jayden since his book was published.
“We haven’t talked specifically, but I know that she’s talked to our sons, which is good,” Federline shared.
He noted elsewhere in the interview that his boys “are trying to find a way to mend a bond between their mom,” and that was something that he was fully in support of.
“They absolutely love their mom, right? I mean, they always, always have, always will,” he said. “It’s instilled in them. And I’ve always wanted for them to have a connection with their mom, the way I have with my mom.”

Federline noted that he wrote his memoir, in which he details his sons’ alleged turbulent relationship with their mother, with the intention to reconnect Spears with their two sons, and noted that was “definitely a possibility” now.
However, the “Lucky” singer has shared that she does not feel the same way about his book. In mid-October, Spears shared a statement in which she called out Federline for “constantly gaslighting” her and defended her relationship with her sons.
“I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys,” Spears wrote. “Relationships with teenage boys is complex. I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and almost begged for them to be a part of my life.”
Spears went on to say of Preston and Jayden, “Sadly, they have always witnessed the lack of respect shown by (their) own father for me. They need to take responsibility for themselves. With one son only seeing me for 45 min in the past 5 years and the other with only 4 visits in the past 5 years. I have pride too. From now on I will let them know when I am available.”

In June, Spears and her son reunited after she posted a

and clip on Instagram of them at home after attending church together. In the photo, Jayden towered over the singer as they stood close to each other in front of a balcony, with the teenager holding up a phone to take the snap.
