Furry bouncy balls with funny faces are tipped to be some of the must-have toys this Christmas, according to buyers at London toy emporium Hamleys.
Continuing 2025’s soft toy craze, which saw adults paying well over the odds for Jellycats and Labubusthe cute, cuddly and collectible TY Bouncers retail at £7 each.
Available in 80 different characters, from Spider-Man to Paddington Bear, with cats, cows and fluffy pink pigs thrown in for good measure, their appeal appears to lie in their simplicity.
Reflecting on the growing popularity of TY Bouncers, Victoria Kay, head of buying and merchandising at Hamleys, said: ‘They’ve been building steadily all year to a point now where they’re a full-on craze.
‘They work because they represent uncomplicated fun: a timeless toy – reimagined.’
Emphasising that they’re tech-free and come with no instructions, she credited them with offering a precious ‘sensory break from digital overload.’
The brightly-coloured TY Bouncers are included on the Hamleys 2025 Christmas list, known as the Festive 15, which aims to predict which toys will feature most heavily on children’s wish lists come the winter.
They’re not, however, the only cuddly toys on the toy shop’s list, supporting the store’s view that ‘simple’ toys today hold irresistible appeal.

A cuddly ‘Evie’ – the latest addition to the Peppa Pig clan – which costs £13 is included on the list, along with a chocolate brown Hamleys teddy bear, priced at £20.
And, the soft toy trend is set to continue thanks to the Regent Street shop’s cuddly versions of convenience foods, with the smiley-faced pretzel and pizza being the most adorable.
As well as these classic toys, which Victoria says ‘evoke nostalgia’ among parents, are some decidedly modern ones, such as a £80 robotic Woody from Toy Story and a £50 AI-powered football trainer, Soccer Dash.
Star Wars fans will be delighted to discover that there’s also a Power Crystal Lightsaber on the list, which comes with 10 different coloured crystals, seven different blade colours and over 50 unique sound and effects combinations.
Roblox Dress To Impress fashion dolls will interest kids who enjoy clothes, while the LEGO Marvel Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock Subway Train Scene Set will impress fans of the Spider-Man 2 film.
Finally, the Hamleys Festive 15 for Christmas 2025 features a L.O.L Surprise Magic Flyers set, the interactive Human Controller family game and a Wooden Hamburger Stacker, set to encourage play and decision making among those aged two and over.
The Egghead Arc Series from the popular One Piece franchise and the Sky Trails S1 Starter Kit are sure to be just as popular.
