The Oppenheim Group agents are back and better than ever for an all-new season of Selling Sunset — and they’ll be joined by a new agent who’s ready to shake things up.
PEOPLE got an exclusive first look at the season 9 trailer for the hit Netflix series (premiering on Wednesday, Oct. 29), in which viewers get to see Sandra Vergara make her debut at the O Group office in Los Angeles.
In the above clip, the president and founder of the brokerage, Jason Oppenheimteases, “I thought we needed some new energy,” as Vergara struts into the frame.
She then gives fellow agent Mary Bonnet a hug and introduces herself: “I’m Sandra Vergara.”
The camera pans over to agent Chelsea Lazkani who asks with a smile, “Like Sofia Vergara?” referring to the Modern Family star. Sandra responds, “We’re related.”

In July, PEOPLE reported that Sandra was officially joining the luxury real estate agency alongside its highly competitive agents.
A press release from Netflix’s Tudum at the time confirmed her relation to the Griselda actress: “Yes, she’s the cousin and adoptive sister of fellow actor Sofia Vergara.”
Sandra also noted in the release that there were some “unexpected twists” and “jaw-dropping moments” coming in season 9.

In the trailer, she sits down with season 6 newcomer Bre knew at a restaurant and tries to get a feel for the other agents.
“What about the ladies at the office? Are you friends with any of them?” she asks Tiesi, to which she tilts her head and replies, “Friend is a loose term in this office.”
Tiesi could be alluding to her longtime feud with Lazkani, with whom she tried to wave the white flag by giving her a heads up that her husband of seven years was allegedly seen making out with another woman.
Returning agents Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan then got involved and stirred the pot even more, resulting in Tiesi eventually unfollowing Hernan on Instagram.

The trailer also alludes to a rift brewing between longtime besties Stause and Hernan over Hernan’s boyfriend and “old flame” Blake. In one scene, Hernan can be seen trying on a massive $2 million ring on her left hand’s ring finger, implying that her relationship is getting serious.
But there’s only one problem: “She f—ing hates him,” Hernan says of Stause’s opinion toward her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, after Sandra’s chat with Tiesi, Sandra shares her impression of the O Group office in a confessional-style clip with one simple phrase: “Sink or swim, baby.”
Echoing a similar sentiment, Tiesi notes in another scene in the trailer, “The office has been a little savage,” to which Bonnet agrees, “A lot, savage.”
Oppenheim notes his awareness of the lingering feuds at his brokerage, as he tells Bonnet: “I know there’s still factions and friction. If we can focus on real estate, this is our best year ever.”

However, the drama intensifies as returning cast members Smith Smith and Nicole Young appear to get into a major fight while all the agents are seated at dinner.
“There’s a huge elephant in the room with Nicole,” a voice can be heard saying in the background, as the scene cuts to Smith standing up and putting her finger in Young’s face.
“You need to get the f— out,” Smith tells Young.

Oppenheim’s wish for his agents to focus only on real estate doesn’t seem to be totally fulfilled this season, as the trailer comes to a dramatic end with Bonnet seemingly implying that she wants to leave the agency.
“I don’t want you to leave. I will fix it,” Oppenheim says to his longtime friend. Bonnet responds ominously while shaking her head, “I don’t know if you can fix it.”
Along with the O Group agents already mentioned, season 8 newcomer Alanna Gold will also return for season 9, as well as Mary’s husband Romain Bonnet and Jason’s twin brother Brett Oppenheim.
Selling Sunset season 9 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 29 on Netflix. Previous seasons are now streaming.
