“Zafar 2” is scheduled to be launched on 7 December 1403 (December 2024) from the Russian “Postochny” base, using the Russian Soyuz rocket, along with the Kawsar 1.5 and Paya satellites, in what is considered an important station in Iran’s space development path.
“Zafar 2” features multi-spectral color cameras with a resolution of 16 metres, a data storage and transmission system to link 256 ground sites, as well as space radiation measuring devices to study the effect of cosmic rays on electronic components.
