It may only be October but retailers are already getting into the festive spirit – and one brand has even decided to release its Christmas advert, despite Halloween being weeks away.
The first of the Yuletide commercials to drop is from beauty store LOOKFANTASTIC, who took to YouTube to entice shoppers with its ad fronted by former Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague.
From the lush Christmas reds, to the angelic choral music and the pile of beautifully-wrapped gifts, the advert didn’t shy away from traditional festive tropes.
During the glitzy 39-second clip, the glamorous star of the campaign sits at the head of a beautifully curated table.
Surrounded by wall drapes in a lavish maroon fabric, Molly-Mae looks around with a slight smile, appreciating the well set table, complete with candles, decorations and presents.
The partner of Tommy Fury is accompanied by a glamorous squad of friends, who are styled and made-up to perfection.
The stunning group are seen looking at different products, with some even making some cheeky changes to the gift labels, so they can receive the beauty items inside.
LOOKFANTASTIC’s ad will likely face fierce competition once the highly anticipated commercials from the likes of John Lewis and M&S are revealed.

Describing the advert campaign, a spokesperson for THG, which owns LOOKFANTASTIC, said in a statement: ‘This year, LOOKFANTASTIC is making gifting easy.
‘From beauty you’ll want to try first to haircare you won’t want to share, this is your home of iconic gifting.
‘Discover our forever IT-girl’s go-to gifts, featuring the guaranteed crowd-pleasers worth coveting.’
LOOKFANTASTIC announced back in June 2024 that Molly-Mae was the company’s Brand Ambassador.
In a social media post, LOOKFANTASTIC said: ‘After five incredible years, we’re taking our collaboration to the next level with a long-term partnership.
‘Molly-Mae embodies our values of inspiration and community, bringing a real and uncomplicated approach to beauty.’
Meanwhile, Molly-Mae Hague added: ‘I have always been passionate about self-care and beauty, and I always love sharing my latest finds and hero products with my community.
‘I have shopped on LOOKFANTASTIC for years and…I am proud to announce that I will be extending my partnership with LOOKFANTASTIC on a larger scale.’
While consumers may be used to seeing Christmas adverts arriving early, they may be more surprised by the increasingly early arrival of advent calendars.
In a far cry from the basic chocolate options from years gone by, increasingly luxe options including beauty calendars – which launch as early as September (with some even selling out that month) – are now available.
It may only be October, but many of this year’s beauty advent calendars are already on sale – and there’s an excellent selection of covetable offers to choose from.
Hidden in those little drawers are a wide array of treats, including skin and hair products, make-up and beautifully-fragranced surprises including candles, body sprays and perfume.
