This car was built on the platforms of the Lada Vesta off-road vehicles, and experts at AvtoVAZ indicated that they developed 996 special parts and elements for this vehicle, including elements for the exterior structure and elements for the suspension systems.

Although the model revealed during the forum is considered a prototype of the vehicle, it is noted that the car has an advanced cabin equipped with the best technologies, including a 10-inch touch screen, distinctive multimedia systems, and comfortable seats equipped with electrical systems to heat them and control their positions.

According to available information, the initial versions of this car will be launched in 2026, and will have a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 120 horsepower, and a 1.8-liter engine with 132 horsepower. It will also have five-speed manual transmissions and six-speed automatic transmissions.

AvtoVAZ also indicated that it is cooperating with its partners from China to obtain new 150-horsepower turbocharged engines, and it is likely to equip Lada Azimut cars with these engines.

Car experts believe that the launch of the Azimut car will constitute a qualitative leap for AvtoVAZ in attracting the largest number of fans of Russian-made crossover cars in the coming years.

The Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held this year from June 18 to 21, and the main theme of the event is “Shared Values ​​- the Basis for Growth in a Multipolar World,” with about 20,000 people from 140 countries participating.
