Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba gave a cheeky response to the ongoing backlash over her scoring… with the help of Taylor Swift.

The TV personality, 57, has come under fierce fire from viewers of the dancing competition show recently, many of whom have felt that some of her critiques have been a little too harsh.

The fury was ignited after competitor Pasha Pashkov branded her response to his and Danielle Fishel‘s dance during last weeks episode as ‘unfair.’

Inaba has now addressed the criticism, and she seemed completely unfazed by it.

She uploaded a video of herself putting on makeup as she mouthed along to Swift’s new song Actually Romantic.

The track, off her latest album The Life of a Showgirl, is all about not being bothered by someone who is hating on you.

‘It’s actually sweet / all the time you’ve spent on me / it’s honestly wild / all the effort you’ve put in / it’s actually romantic,’ Inaba lip-synced as she applied some lip gloss, before blowing a kiss to the camera.

‘My Wednesday morning anthem,’ she added in a text overlay.

During the October 14 episode of the show, Inaba told Fishel, ‘Some of your dances are starting to feel like I’m watching the same dance over and over again.’

‘Try to give a little bit more variety as far as dynamics,’ she continued, before addressing Pashkov, ‘This is also on you, Pasha.’

Afterwards, Pashkov told Variety that he was ‘not happy’ with her comments.

‘I always get protective. For me, that comment felt unfair, especially being that she said that the dances looked similar,’ he said.

‘The thing is, we did have a quickstep, and we had a jive this week. These are two dances that very, very similar.

‘If we had dances that were drastically different, and they felt the same, I’d understand.

‘But, based on the dances that we had, that did not feel like it made sense to me. In my heart, I’m overprotective because I know how hard Danielle is working. I don’t think she deserved that comment.’

Since then, viewers have been scrutinizing Inaba on social media.

In addition, some fans have even accused her favoring Dylan Efron over Robert Irwin.

‘It’s OK to disagree about what we see. That’s what makes our show great,’ Inaba replied to a fan on Instagram last week.

‘You have a say in the matter. We want you to vote for what you love and believe in. I appreciate your comment and the way you expressed your feelings. Thank you for your passion and your opinion.’

And it seems Fishel has shaken off Inaba’s criticism, as she told AND! News after the October 21 episode, ‘Carrie Ann saying that our dances look the same, we walked out of here and we said, “All right, next week, we will give her what she asked for.”

‘(You can’t) let critiques go to your head. Whenever it’s over, it’s over.’
