Kmart Brings Back Popular Sell-out Item: ‘I’ve Never Heard Of Anything Like It’

uaetodaynews.com — Kmart brings back popular sell-out item: ‘I’ve never heard of anything like it’
Sweet toothed Aussies can rejoice as Kmart has officially restocked its most viral lollies.
The wildly popular Amos Peelerz are peelable fruit-shaped gummies that TikTokers made famous, causing them to sell out across the country in July.
But thanks to customer demand, they’re finally back in stores and online, and this time, available in all four flavours: assorted fruits, banana, peach and mango.
The chewy, dual-textured sweets first made waves in Australia after being reviewed by notoriously fussy TikTok food critic Russ Eatswho helped turn them into an overnight phenomenon.
‘Peelable gummy bears from Kmart. I’ve never heard of anything like it,’ Russ said in his video, which racked up thousands of views.
‘I reckon they’re going to be the next crispy marshmallows.’
The gummieswhich come shaped like miniature bananas, mangoes and peaches, feature a firm outer ‘peel’ that can be removed to reveal a soft, squishy gummy centre.
And while Russ is famously critical of banana-flavoured sweets, he shocked fans by declaring the banana Peelerz were his unexpected favourite.
The cult-favourite Amos Peelerz gummieswhich come in mango, banana and peach flavours, have been restocked at Kmart’s online and in-stores nationwide
The chewy, dual-textured lollies have been a staple in Chinese and Japanese convenience stores for years, but their arrival at Kmart in June sold out within the month
‘The banana gummy is delicious – you have a hard gummy skin and then a soft squishy gummy centre,’ he said.
‘9 out of 10. I hate banana lollies. But I love that.’
The mango version, which isn’t peelable like the others, scored an even higher rating.
‘The mango flavour smells awesome – I feel like we haven’t had a mango-flavoured lolly before,’ Russ said.
‘It tastes like a perfectly ripe piece of mango. I have to give it a 9.5 out of 10. It is awesome.’
And the peach variety wasn’t far behind, with Russ saying they ‘taste like Allen’s Peaches and Cream – without the cream,’ and awarding it an 8.5 out of 10. He recommends fans skip the peel entirely.
Originally a staple in Chinese and Japanese convenience stores, Amos Peelerz have found a new fanbase in Australia, where TikTokers can’t resist posting ‘peeling videos’ to show off their satisfying texture and burst of flavour.
Kmart first stocked the $4.50 lollies earlier this year, and they sold out within the same month, with some fans claiming they made multiple late-night trips to hunt them down in stores when online stock disappeared.

‘Omg so excited to see them back! I couldn’t get them last time sadly – defo getting them this time though!’ one ecstatic shopper wrote this week after spotting the restock.
‘I love the mango ones,’ another added.
Others are already comparing notes on which flavour reigns supreme. For some, the assorted fruits pack is the way to go, offering a mix of all the peelable and non-peelable favourites.
The chewy, jelly-like candies have been praised for their authentic fruit taste and ‘weirdly satisfying’ texture, with many claiming there’s ‘nothing artificial about them.’
‘I have literally spent so much money on them in the last few months. I don’t know how they did it but there’s nothing fake about the flavour,’ one fan said.
Now, with the return of all four flavours, Kmart shoppers are once again snapping them up in bulk.
‘They’re sold out online. Guess I’m doing a late-night trip to Kmart… thanks,’ one shopper joked during the last wave of demand – a situation that could easily repeat itself now that stock has been replenished.
Whether you’re team mango, banana or peach, fans agree these peelable gummies are one of the most fun and delicious snacks to hit shelves this year.
