Nicole Kidman has grown out of a couple of her insecurities in recent years.
The Academy Award winner, 58, recently chatted with Harper’s Bazaar about her new partnership with Clé de Peau and revealed she used to be insecure about her skin.
Asked what parts of her she’s learned to love as she’s gotten older, the Big Little Lies star said, “My fair skin. I used to hate it. It’s still not my favorite thing, but I appreciate it because it’s very good on film, so I use it that way.”
The actress also noted her height is another part of her appearance that she has grown to appreciate. “I’m lucky to be tall and I have so much leeway with what I eat because there’s so many more places for it to go!”

“There’s not a small gene in our family. I mean, we are all giants,” she said, revealing that her daughtersSunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, are both 5’10”. Kidman and her sister are both 5’11″.
“I used to grapple with that and kind of twist my hip down and pretend I was smaller,” Kidman said. “Now, I put my shoulders back, and I stand up, and I just own it.”
She quipped that being shorter could have helped her career. “It’d be nice to be a few inches smaller and be able to look up to somebody, which is also a much better angle on film.”
Along with learning to appreciate those qualities as she ages, the actress also celebrates the “best part” of aging, which she says is how the years bring her more experiences.
“There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through,” the Babygirl star said. “You’re going to have to feel it. You’re not going to be able to numb it. You are going to have to feel it, and it’s going to feel insurmountable at times.”
“You’re going to feel like you’re broken, but if you move gently and slowly—and it can take an enormous amount of time—it does pass.”

At the same time, Kidman told the outlet that the “life experiences” she’s had sometimes makes her feel “really, really, really old.”
But there are still some occasions when she feels like a little girl. “Like, suddenly I feel like I’m five. I think there’s a sense of play that always feels available to me,” she said.
She noted, “But as I get older, I want to be able to share and impart the things I’ve learned. I’ve seen a lot, I’ve experienced a lot, and I’ve survived a lot. I want to pass on some of that knowledge and that wisdom and whatever I’ve learned.”
The actress’s candid conversation comes days after she sat front row beside filmmaker Baz Luhrmann at Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2026 show at Paris Fashion Week and was named the newest ambassador of the luxury French brand on Monday, Oct. 6.
The appearance came a week after she filed for divorce from her husband, Keith Urban57.
