The company’s board member, Mahmoud Salari, pointed out that the new ZF_BW 465 transmission, with a capacity of up to 3,000 horsepower, has achieved a prominent position in the Iranian shipbuilding industry, with a plan to develop transmissions with a power of up to 10,000 horsepower soon.

He added that the success of these products reflects Iran’s ability to extend control over locally advanced marine technology, meet the needs of the defense and commercial sectors, while creating job opportunities and increasing economic returns by investing in its waterways and northern and southern ports.

Salari stressed that the company seeks to form a consortium that includes several small knowledge-based companies to unify their efforts in the local and international market, in a way that enhances Iran’s ability to export innovative marine products and achieve added value to the national economy.

Iran, thanks to its distinguished geographical location on the northern and southern waterways, has great potential to develop the local maritime industry, which contributes to achieving self-sufficiency, increasing national production, and reducing dependence on imports, especially in light of international sanctions on some advanced technical products.

The recent success of an Iranian knowledge-based company in designing and manufacturing a transmission for marine ships represents a qualitative leap in this field, and confirms the ability of local expertise to keep pace with global technologies and provide innovative solutions for industrial and commercial needs, thus contributing to increasing the added value of the national economy and opening new export horizons.
