Nat couldn’t believe how less intense and wholesome Australian TV news was compared to America’s non-stop updates on shootings.
‘There’s nothing bad happening right now (in Australia),’ Nat said.
‘Everything about Australian news is about other countries. In Romania, someone died. In America, someone got shot. Nothing (bad) about Australia unless a kangaroo goes across the street. It’s insane.’

At the petrol station, she found it random that there was a watering can next to the pumps, to which Beth explained it’s for rinsing off any petrol she accidentally spills on her car.
‘Nat said to me it’s crazy that people in the ‘gas station’ get treated the same way a doctor would – and that blew me away and made me realise how freaking lucky we are to live here,’ Beth told Daily Mail.

At the zoo, Nat was thrilled she got the opportunity to ‘pat a koala and take a photo’ with the native animal.
‘What time is it? I need to know when this happened in my life. My best friend,’ Nat said in excitement as she pressed her face against the koala’s head.
Looking at a picture of herself hugging the koala, Nat broke down in tears, saying: ‘This just makes me so happy.’

During a day out at a local pub, Nat was fascinated to see a pigeon casually loitering around the outdoor dining area.

The pair spent the evening at a beach, with Nat filming the spectacular views.
‘The first time she saw our ocean and the way she was so blown away by how clean our beaches are and how clear the water was, she was constantly saying ‘I can’t believe everyone has such easy access to the ocean,’ Beth told Daily Mail.
‘She was also amazed by the respect we have towards each other and our wildlife.’
The video has been viewed than 700,000 times – with many saying they are loving Nat’s discoveries in Australia.

Many Aussies were amazed to see how the little things in life made Nat so happy.
‘Its weird seeing someone come to Adelaide and be this happy about the state that’s always boring – glad you like it though,’ one shared.
‘Wow. This has been joyful to watch. I’ve never seen someone happy to be here in my home that I take for granted,’ another revealed.

Meanwhile, many agreed with Nat, particularly Australian news.
‘I noticed this when I lived in Sydney. Grew up in Houston and there was a murder on the 5pm news EVERY DAY. In Sydney, when death did happen, it was a HUGE deal and people actually felt sad about it,’ one shared.
‘I am an American in Australia and literally thought the same thing. I found Aussie news so boring and fake because they were trying to blow up basically non issues,’ another pointed out.
While one Aussie suggested: ‘I never thought about how lucky we are to just have news about neighbourhood disputes.’
