Nubia Launches Its Nubia Fold Foldable Device With A Leading Processor And A Huge Battery

After some leaked images appeared last week of the nubia Fold phone, today we got confirmed information about the nubia Fold foldable phone in the form of a book. This was after it was officially listed on the Japanese telecommunications company Y!mobile’s website with its full specifications and price.

The nubia Fold phone comes with a large 8-inch internal screen with a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels, while it carries a 6.5-inch external screen with a resolution of 1172 x 2748 pixels. Both screens support a 120 Hz refresh rate. The home screen provides split-screen modes to work on multiple applications comfortably, enhancing the productivity experience on the device.

When fully opened, the nubia Fold measures 144 x 160 x 5.4 mm, making it one of the slimmest foldable devices of its type. When folded, its thickness reaches 11.1 mm and its weight is 249 grams, which makes it lighter than many of its competitors in the foldable phone category.

The device runs on the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It relies on the Android 15 system straight out of the box, while providing IP54 resistance to protect against dust and water splashes.

On the back, the phone comes with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The phone also carries two 20-megapixel selfie cameras, one built into the internal screen and the second into the external screen, to provide an improved photography experience in all usage modes.

The nubia Fold includes a large 6560 mAh battery with support for 55W fast charging, which allows for a longer operating time and relatively faster charging compared to the rest of the devices in the category.

The phone is available in only one color, black, and will be offered in Japan at a price of 178,560 Japanese yen, equivalent to about 1,145 US dollars, with sales starting on December 4. Expectations indicate that the device will expand to other markets during 2026. See also: Samsung introduces its TriFold phone.
