Hugo Ekitike was decisive again for Liverpool as the Reds’ summer signings came together to help beat Tottenham 2-1.

The Reds weren’t always convincing in seeing off a nine-man Spurs side on Saturday evening, but it’s now six games unbeaten for them.

Riding(7.58)was Liverpool’s best player in north London, receiving the highest average rating.

The Frenchman scored his fifth goal in his last three Premier League games, rising highest to head home the Reds’ second of the day.

GOAL’s Tom Bellwood described it as “another brilliant evening” for Ekitike, with Ian Doyle of theEchocalling his header an “excellent” finish, which was set up by fellow summer arrival Jeremie Frimpong.

Florian Wirtz(7.28)also enjoyed an impressive performance, withThis Is Anfield‘s Henry Jackson giving him the man-of-the-match award.

The German got his first Premier League assist, setting Alexander Isak up for Liverpool’s opener and the Swede’s second league goal of the campaign.

Jackson said that Wirtz “seemed to come alive” after Xavi Simons was sent-off before half time, adding that he was “great to watch in tight areas.”

The fact that Alisson(7.15)was Liverpool’s third-best performer against nine men isn’t a great look overall, however, for the team.

Alexis Mac Allister(5.78)received the lowest rating, with the Argentine still not looking at home in a attacking midfield role.

Doyle felt that he was “unable to overly influence proceedings” before “unwittingly sparking” the move for the opening goal.

What the stats say

According to FotMobWirtz(8.6)was Liverpool’s standout figure in a statistical sense.

The German completed four out of five dribbles – the most of any player on either side – and got his first-ever Premier League assist.

He also made the joint-most defensive contributions for Liverpool (eight), along with Milos Kerkez and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Virgil van Dijk didn’t cover himself in glory for Richarlison’s goal, but he completed an unrivalled 95 percent of his passes from the Reds’ starters.
