Savannah Guthrie has shockingly confessed to having spanked a male colleague at a work holiday party.

The Today show co-anchor, 53, shared the wild admission during an appearance on Tuesday’s episode of Jenna & Friends, while she and Jenna Bush Hager answered viewers’ dilemmas.

During the Girl Code segment, Guthrie read out a submission from someone who was facing a dilemma about their upcoming office bash, and was quickly reminded of her own embarrassing anecdote.

The viewer’s question read: ‘My office holiday party is in a few days… My work bestie Jackie is usually “over-served” and becomes inappropriately flirty at these events.

‘Last year she was hanging all over our boss and she doesn’t remember it at all. Should I say something ahead of time or roll the dice?’

After Guthrie finished reading the question, Bush Hager, 44,  playfully called out the production staff on set.

‘Did y’all put this in?’ she asked.

But soon after, Guthrie began to share her own tale of office party debauchery.

‘I just have to say, as someone who has spanked a network correspondent at a holiday party…’ she began.

Although Guthrie refused to name the colleague, she did stress that ‘it was an air spanking, so I don’t think I actually – it wasn’t hand (contact).’

A stunned Bush Hager probed: ‘Was it a man or a woman?’

‘Obviously it was a guy!’ Guthrie responded to which Bush Hager exclaimed, ‘You’ve spanked me before.’

‘Well, yes, and I made contact with you,’ Guthrie shared, adding that the duo are ‘at that point’ in their friendship.

Turning her attention back to the viewer’s dilemma, mom-of-two Guthrie advised them to avoid telling their co-worker how to behave.

‘It won’t be well received,’ she said. ‘She doesn’t remember it. I don’t think any good can come of it.’

Guthrie, who shares daughter Vale, 11, and son Charley, nine, with her husband Mike Feldman, has co-hosted the Today show since 2012.

She has been part of the NBC family for 18 years, having joined NBC News as a legal analyst and correspondent in 2007.

Earlier this month, Bush Hager revealed that Sheinelle Jones would be joining her as a permanent co-host starting in January, officially replacing Hoda Kotb.

The announcement came after mom-of-three Bush Hager spent 11 months co-presenting the show with rotating guest stars.

Voicing her excitement for the program’s future, she enthused: ‘I am so excited.

‘I think everything you said about what we are going to build together that can bring hope, that can share friendship. There is nobody I’d rather sit next to,’ she added to Jones.
