Former TODAY co-host Hoda Kotb has reunited with her ex-fiancé, Joel Schiffman, for the holidays in a sweet Christmas snap.

On Thursday, Kotb took to Instagram to share a smiling selfie with her family as they all wore matching green pajamas and headbands with Santa hats on them.

She was joined by Schiffman and their two children, daughters Haley Joy, eight, and Hope Catherine, six, as well as other members of their family.

The group posed by their elaborately decorated Christmas tree.

‘Merry Christmas,’ Kotb wrote in the caption, along with an emoji of a Christmas tree and a red heart.

This year marks the third Christmas they’ve spent together after their split, as the two called off their engagement in January 2022.

They had to postpone their destination wedding three times due to the pandemic before they ultimately went their separate ways.

Kotb and Schiffman dated for eight years before breaking up, but continue to be co-parents to their two little ones, both of whom they adopted together.

Christmas isn’t the only holiday that they get together for as they’ve taken their daughters trick-or-treating together on Halloween in years past.

In August 2022, Kotb opened up about her relationship with Schiffman and how they’ve been able to co-parent.

‘He’ll have a Saturday, and I’ll do the Sunday. We switch each week. He’ll take the girls and do some fun things, and I’ll take some quiet time. It’s a healthy mix, and the kids love it. He’s a great dad,’ she told People Magazine at the time.

Kotb credited their open line of communication and the help of their two nannies for allowing them to navigate their busy schedules while raising their daughters together.

‘”Does that work for you?” “Do you need me to change that?” We’re very open about fixing things so that everybody’s needs are being met,’ she explained, adding: ‘He’s a great dad – but I also know I’m on the right road.’

Kotb insisted there is no bad blood between them, explaining that their relationship had merely run its course.

‘I don’t regret one day, not one minute, not one second of our time together because it brought me here. I have two incredible children I share with him,’ she said.

‘And it’s because of Joel that I have Haley and Hope, without question,’ she continued. ‘I think I might have been too afraid to do it alone. That’s not something I love to admit, but it’s true.’

Last year, Kotb decided to step away from her role on the TODAY Show, as she passed the baton to Jenna Bush Hager.

Earlier this month, Bush announced that her new co-host would be Sheinelle Jonesafter 11 months of rotating guests on TODAY With Jenna and Friends.

Voicing her excitement for the show’s future, an emotional Bush Hager told Jones during the episode: ‘I am so excited.

‘I think everything you said about what we are going to build together that can bring hope, that can share friendship. There is nobody I’d rather sit next to.’

During their heartfelt announcement, Jones revealed that her predecessor Kotb, called her and offered some words of wisdom.

‘She gave me 45 seconds of just wisdom that changed me,’ she said.

‘She said, “remember this moment. You are going to talk about how this was a moment that changed your career, and it was the best decision for your kids, for you.”‘
