Gwyneth Paltrow has been fiercely roasted online after she confessed she tried to give Timothee Chalamet skincare advice after seeing his acne scarring… only to realize it was fake.

The actress, 53, starred alongside the Wonka alum, 29, in the new flick Marty Supreme.

But the Goop founder recently professed they had a slightly awkward moment on set after she tried to dish out some beauty tips to her costar.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Paltrow explained that while they were filming she noticed the actor had some marks on his face, which she believed was from past acne.

She recommended he do some ‘micro-needling’ to combat the scars, but Chalamet was not amused by her advice.

Why? The scarring was not real. It was actually makeup that he was wearing for his role as tennis champion Marty Mauser in the flick.

‘I was up close to him, and I was like, “My gosh.” I had seen him (in the past) and his skin was always so beautiful,’ she said.

‘I was like, “I didn’t realize that he has this scarring on his face.” And he was like, “Are you insane? This is makeup…”

‘He’s like, “I have good skin.” I was like, “I’m so sorry.” Yeah, (the makeup was) amazing.’

A clip of her making the admission during the interview was recently shared on X, where it went viral, and fans were quick to poke fun at Paltrow for her mistake.

‘The I hear this woman the impressed I am that she is able to get up and dress herself in the morning,’ one fan joked in response to the video.

‘As insufferable as ever,’ wrote another, while a third added, ‘There’s just something amazingly weird and dumb about her.’

‘Imagine being this stupid,’ read a fourth negative post.

‘I think it’s hilarious she knows absolutely nothing about anything,’ said a sixth.

‘Everything I see with her is progressively dumber than the last,’ a different user quipped.

It comes after Paltrow was blasted for a ‘patronizing’ question she asked Ethan Hawke during a recent segment for Vanity Fair.

The longtime friends got together for a fun video filmed for the publication earlier this week, but some fans felt like Paltrow appeared to take a dig at the star as they reminisced.

‘Do you still eat Taco Bell?’ Paltrow asked Hawke in a tone that some X users did not seem to think was too nice.

‘That’s really funny,’ Hawke said in response. ‘My idea, when Gwyneth and I met, of a special night – we’re going to Taco Bell.’

He added that when he had finished his first novel, The Hottest State, he also celebrated by getting Taco Bell.

‘It’s a sickness,’ Paltrow remarked as she looked into the camera.

‘I think it’s remarkable how we haven’t changed… and I’m proud of that,’ Hawke said.

The clip was posted on TikTok and on X, where it sparked backlash for Paltrow, as some branded her Taco Bell remark as ‘patronizing.’
