Royal Top Gun! Europe’s Most Eligible Bachelor Crown Prince Christian Of Denmark, 19, Takes To The Skies In Fighter Jet

uaetodaynews.com — Royal Top Gun! Europe’s most eligible bachelor Crown Prince Christian of Denmark, 19, takes to the skies in fighter jet

Crown Prince Christian of Denmark proved himself to be quite the thrill seeker as he took to the skies in a fighter jet on Monday.

The heir to the Danish throne and among one of Europe’s most eligible bachelors, 19, suited up for the final ever training flight in Denmark’s F-16 aircraft, capturing jaw-dropping footage from inside the cockpit with a GoPro as he soared across the country.

In a scene straight out of Top Gun, the son of King Frederik, 56, and Queen Mary52, joined Air Force personnel at Skrydstrup Air Base, calling the experience a ‘boy’s dream’.

Christian looked every bit the part, wearing khaki overalls which featured a badge with his name embroidered on it, inside the cockpit he donned a helmet with an oxygen mask.

The mission marked a symbolic farewell to the F-16, as after more than four decades of service, it is being retired in Denmark to make way for the next-generation F-35s.

The royal also shared that his father popped by the base to celebrate the milestone afterwards.

Frederik, who donned navy overalls, gave his son a hug in a sweet moment as he landed.

Taking to Instagram the Prince shared a slew of snaps, marking the aerial adventures.

Crown Prince Christian of Denmark proved he’s a royal with a need for speed as he took to the skies for the last F-16 training flight on Monday

‘I had the opportunity to get on one of the last training flights in an F-16 aircraft – and wow, it was crazy,’ he recalled.

‘Soon the new F-35s will take over and I am very thankful that I made it. I already had great respect for the pilots who fly our fighter jets, and after today, it has only gotten bigger.

‘It was a huge experience – and lovely that my dad stopped by Skrydstrup after today’s flight.’

The training session comes as Prince Christian continues to take on more official duties and high-profile appearances following his 18th birthday last year.

In February, Christian joined the military as an officer for the Gardehusarregimentet or the Guard Hussar Regiment, a military battle troop and cavalry unit of the Royal Danish Army.

Slagelse is located 50 miles away from his former residence Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen.

During his time with the regiment, Billed-Bladet speculated that the Crown Prince will be given a nickname and asked to cut his hair, as is the norm with recruits.

Christian is currently continuing his military training after it was revealed that he was accepted into the Lieutenant’s Training Course earlier this year in May.

His military training comes after the prince spent three months in east Africa on an adventure he said he would ‘never forget’.

The Danish royal embarked on an ‘extended stay’ in east Africa after graduating from high school earlier in 2024.

The prince said while the experience was ‘completely different‘, it would be one he never forget.

Christian told his one million Instagram followers: ‘I have been in East Africa for almost three months. Everyday life down here is something completely different than at home.

‘The food, the culture, the climate, the wildlife, the tasks and the people make it an experience I will never forget.

‘In recent weeks I’ve been working with nature preservation. I’m both supervising and registering animals in the bush and taking care of the office on the farm.

‘As the video shows, I get really close to the wild animals when they have their GPS collars replaced during anaesthesia.

‘Learning a lot about life down here and have helped build new houses for the employees. And then I played some good football matches with the locals.

Taking to Instagram the Prince shared a slew of snaps, he captioned the post: ‘Today a boy’s dream came true’

‘But I am also starting to look forward to returning home to the family in Denmark and celebrating Christmas in a few weeks.

‘And now I’m looking forward to a new challenge in February. I’ll start working as a military officer at the Guardhouse regiment in Slagelse.’

It comes after Christian appeared to share a passionate kiss with a mystery ‘girlfriend’ at a music festival – but far from a scandalous royal smooch, the couple appear to have been together for ‘at least a year’ and have even reportedly enjoyed a getaway to Ibiza with one another.

He looked to be partying up a storm as he joined 18-year-old sister Isabella – as well as his new rumoured romance – at Smukfest in Skanderborg in August.

And as well as the teen Princess shocking fans by sporting an X-rated T-shirt emblazoned with the translated words ‘f***ed him yesterday’ with a suggestive arrow pointing off to the side, many have likely also been wowed to see the heir to the throne seemingly locking lips in the bustling crowd.

Danish media reports that the elusive lady is one Emma Nygaard Fritzen, 21 – who is understood to have graduated from Ordrup Gymnasium, which the royal also attended.

As per Billed Bladet, the pair are so serious that Emma was among those in attendance at Isabella’s 18th birthday party this spring.

Elsewhere according to Hola! the couple were also spotted together with friends during a recent trip to Ibiza, although nothing has been confirmed and the Royal House has not made a statement on the matter.

The outlet also says Emma comes from ‘Denmark’s upper elite’ and graduated form the University of Sydney – located in his mother Queen Mary’s native Australia – and ‘loves spending extended periods in Africa’, where the Prince has also spent some time travelling and working in.

Her father is said to be consulting firm McKinsey partner Søren Fritzen, who on LinkedIn shared that he ‘served as a captain in the Danish Army, and participated in an international UN mission in former Yugoslavia’.

He added: ‘I have a M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Danish Technical University and an Economics degree from Copenhagen Business School.’

While Emma’s social media profiles seem to be private, the photo of her and Christian kissing – which has now made its way through a myriad of royal fan accounts and blogs – appears to have initially been posted on her Instagram, and later deleted as wellwishers have shared other snaps of what is understood to be photos from the young socialite.

The Daily Mail reached out to the Kongehuset for comment at the time.
