Today, Realme launched its new Realme GT8 phone in China, along with the higher-end version GT8 Pro. Despite the great similarity in design and specifications, there are some noticeable differences between them. The first of these differences is that the camera frame in the GT8 is not interchangeable. The phone is available in three colors: white, green, and blue, with luxurious manufacturing materials of glass and metal.

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor from last year, and includes a 7,000 mAh battery with 100-watt fast charging, which is slightly slower than the Pro version (120 watts), but it is only two minutes behind it to reach a full charge within 45 minutes. The phone does not support wireless charging.

Realme GT8 phone officially launched in China

The phone comes with a 6.79-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 1440p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. With a brightness of up to 2000 nits and a maximum brightness of 4000 nits. In terms of cameras, the phone has a simpler imaging system than the Pro version, but it still retains the 50-megapixel main sensor with a size of 1/1.56 inches and an f/1.8 lens aperture. Developed in collaboration with Ricoh, the camera supports its own shooting modes such as High-contrast B&W, Monotone and Standard, which are known for delivering sharp images, natural colors and outstanding contrast.

But the other cameras are different in the regular version. The second camera here is 50 megapixels with an f/2.0 lens aperture and is a telephoto camera. The third camera has an 8-megapixel resolution for wide-angle photography and a smaller sensor than the one in the Pro version. Realme GT8 runs on the Realme UI 7.0 interface based on Android 16. The camera application also received a new design that reflects Realme’s cooperation with Ricoh in developing the photography experience.

The phone is currently available for pre-order in China, and the price of the Realme GT8 starts at 407 US dollars for the 256/12 GB version. While the 256/16 GB version is priced at $449, the 512/12 GB version is priced at $477, the 512/16 GB version is priced at $505, and finally the 1 TB version with 16 GB RAM is priced at $575.
