An old video of Kanye West slamming North West’s social media habits has resurfaced after she debuted a shocking new look on TikTok.

The 12-year-old, whom West shares with ex Kim Kardashian, sparked concern this week after she posted videos to the platform wearing fake face tattoosa nose piercing and grillz.

The preteen rocked long, blue braids and blue contacts, as well as black grillz over her teeth, a faux nose ring and multiple fake ink designs on her face as she posed with her friends in the videos, which were shared to her and her mom’s joint account.

While some people theorized it was simply a Halloween costume and all in good fun, others felt like North shouldn’t be sporting fake tattoos and piercings at 12 years old.

In the wake of the viral videos, a previous clip of North’s dad talking about his disdain for her using TikTok has been circulating on the web.

‘Hey everybody, I just got off the phone with Kim and I told her to stop antagonizing me with this TikTok thing,’ the rapper said.

‘I said, “Never again.” I am her father, I know y’all don’t respect fathers and the idea of family and the media tries to promote something… but I said, “I am not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok.”‘

The clip was originally shared in March 2022. At the time, Kardashian had shared a clip with her daughter, then eight, lip-synching along to Machine Gun Kelly’s song Emo Girl while wearing black makeup.

One month earlier, West claimed on Instagram that his daughter was ‘being put on TikTok against his will.’

Hours later, Kardashian hit back on her own Instagram, slamming West’s ‘constant attacks’ on her, accusing him of causing their family ‘pain’ in a lengthy statement, where she referred to herself as the ‘main caregiver.’

She wrote on her Stories: ‘Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create.

‘As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision – because it brings her happiness.’

The 2022 clip of West has received over five million views on X (formerly Twitter) after it was reshared this week amidst North’s latest controversial TikTok post, and it has sparked a heated debate.

Some people slammed West in the replies and pointed to his relationship with Bianca Censori, who often makes headlines for her nearly-nude looks.

‘Brainwashing someone’s daughter Bianca Censori to walk naked in the streets while complaining about your own daughter is crazy and hypocritical,’ one person wrote.

‘Then lead by example by putting some clothes on your wife, Ye,’ another added.

‘Hard to appreciate his concern when he parades his wife in public in nude. Does he think his daughter does not see that?’ asked someone else.

‘Kanye West’s rant about North West’s TikTok antics is peak hypocrisy, especially when his own fashion choices make her look tame,’ read a fourth tweet.

A fifth said, ‘The man who makes his wife walk around naked is worried about his child’s Halloween costume? Is he scared someone will treat her like he treats his wife?’

Others, however, agreed with him.

‘Kanye was right and everyone called him crazy for it. He warned that fame and social media would shape his daughter into what the world wanted, not who she truly is,’ one person replied.

‘Now she is trending for the same things he tried to protect her from. This is not about blue hair or grills, it is about a culture that rewards attention over identity.

‘Kanye was not trying to control her, he was trying to shield her from the digital machine that profits off lost innocence. Parents laughed then. They should not be laughing now.’

‘The internet moves in circles, and now it’s Kanye’s turn to look like the prophet everyone ignored. People dragged him years ago for speaking about his daughter’s exposure online, now the same crowd is pretending to be shocked,’ agreed another.

‘This man (is) trying preserve his daughter innocence as he should,’ said someone else.

North posted the slew of videos showcasing the eyebrow-raising look to the platform over the weekend.

‘Fake piercings and fake tatts for life,’ the pre-teen captioned one clip.

The video showed her mouthing along to a popular sound bite with her pals, who matched her in similar braids, face tattoos and piercings.

North donned a slew of eye-popping silver necklaces a black oversized tee, baggy shorts and chunky sneakers.

Other clips showed her and her friends on a private jet and then backstage at an apparent concert.

‘Preparing for antagonist,’ she captioned another.

While the comments were turned off of North’s TikTok videos, after a fan account reposted them on Instagram, a slew of viewers were quick to share their concern.

It comes days after Kardashian, 44, admitted she made a mistake with some of her daughter’s fashion choices.

The reality star came under fire over the summer after she dressed North in a corset during an outing in Rome.

On the Call Me Daddy podcast this week, Kardashian confessed that she’s ‘still learning’ as a mother and explained that North had wanted to experiment with her style to look like her friends.

She said: ‘It’s really hard and it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things.

‘But then my daughter tries to wear it and then I’m like, “OK we’re never wearing that again.” Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.

‘She’s usually a girl that that dresses like a tomboy most of the time and she wanted to try something that her friends were wearing and went to the same place that they went to… and it’s just like, okay, wait, maybe you can’t wear that, you know?

‘So, as a mom, you’re kind of learning at the same time. But what I do know is my baby’s such a good girl and such a sweet girl.

‘The things that she has experienced, where she might have been outspoken or did something, she learns from that.

‘She does listen to me but in other areas I’m like “babe if you want blue hair it is what it.” It makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her.’

When North first debuted her bright blue hair, fans were divided online, with some suggesting the style was too mature for a pre-teen.

And Kardashian revealed her daughter had seen the discourse and had a very sassy response.

‘She’s really mature in one sense, where she’ll be like, “Mom, I saw this and I don’t really care if someone says they don’t like my blue hair or my this or that,”‘ reflected the Skims founder.

‘She’s really confident and is like, “I probably wouldn’t be hanging out with those people. Like if you saw what they look like and what they’re wearing!”

Kardashian mused: ‘I just think anyone that’s raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I’m doing the best that I can and my babies are good babies.

‘So, I just urge everyone to not be judgmental and to have grace on single mums trying to figure it all out with a pre-teen. It’s a lot.’

Elsewhere in the interview Kardashian shared that her ex-husband and North’s father has not seen his children in several months.

The model said: ‘I raise the kids full time. They live with me and I welcome a great healthy relationship with my kids and their dad, and I think he knows that.

‘I push for it all the time, but I also protect them when it’s time for that. And it goes in waves and phases and it’s a lot of work.’

Asked when West last saw his children, she replied: ‘Whenever he’ll call for them and ask. It’s probably been a couple months since we’ve heard from him.’
