Canadian Backpacker Reveals Surprising Thing Hes Going To Miss Most About Australia – And Its NOT The Beaches, Culture Or Weather

A Canadian backpacker has revealed the surprising thing he’ll miss most about Australia – and it’s not the beaches, culture or weather.
Lucas Ungaretti, who’s visited 60 countries, has been documenting the biggest culture shocks he’s encountered on his adventurous road trip Down Under.
Tourists often cite unique wildlife, stunning natural wonders, and great climate as the best thing about Australia – but not Lucas.
‘One of the things I’m going to miss most about Australia is not the beaches, the culture or the weather. Hear me out, Kmart,’ Lucas said in his

‘Every time I’m in there, I’m actually shocked at how cheap some of the things are. I don’t know how they make these prices even possible.’
Lucas said he was blown away by the affordable items – including his $1.50 ‘flip flops’, known as thongs in Australia, $6 shirt and $7.50 mattress.
‘They literally have everything, it’s not just clothes. I got this mattress that I sleep on… I actually got a lot of things for $6 but I promise everything is super affordable,’ he said.

‘Just for reference, a coffee here in Australia is usually than $6 so these things are literally cheaper than a coffee.
‘I swear than half the things I have in my car are from Kmart. My camping stove, cutlery, pots and pans… literally everything.
‘It’s such decent quality, you really can’t complain.’
Indeed, Lucas testified as to how impressed he was by the quality, and not just the prices.
‘I honestly would’ve bought my car there too if they sold cars,’ he said.
‘You can get a whole camping setup for under $30. You can get a tent, mattress, sleeping bag, everything and it will literally cost you under $30 for all of it.
‘Who says Australia is expensive?’
Many Aussies agreed with Lucas, with one saying: ‘Kmart is like heaven on earth.’
Last month, Lucas went viral after sharing one overlooked feature in Australia that is the best in the world.
‘This one might be really niche and something that Australians never noticed but I’ve talked to other foreigners and everyone seems to agree,’ Lucas said in his
.
‘I know this might be a really weird thing to notice but these things are the most elaborate structures – and you see them everywhere.
‘They look like they cost millions of dollars to build and they’re so cool. You’ve got giant ship-like playgrounds and sometimes you’ll get these ziplines (flying fox) that you can just use – it’s super cool.
‘I swear in the rest of the world, all you have is like a slide and maybe some monkey bars. But here, it’s like a whole experience just to go to the playground.’
Lucas was envious of Australian children compared to what he experienced.
‘All I know is that if I was a kid growing up in Australia, I would have had such a good time just going to these playgrounds,’ he said.
‘You guys might take it for granted. Anyway that was a super random thought but definitely something I’ve noticed all over Australia. Enjoy your playgrounds.’
