Modern Family star Nolan Gould looked unrecognizable to fans as he reunited with on-screen sister Ariel Winter and on-screen uncle Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

The now 27-year-old actor, who famously played Luke Dunphy on the hit sitcom which ran from 2009 to 2020, stepped out for a meal with his co-stars to see in the New Year.

Making sure to document the special occasion, the trio posed for a photo together with Tyler Ferguson, 50, front and center.

Gould stood beside him in a red oversized jumper and black wide leg jeanscomplete with black sneakers.

The former child star sported a beard and long hair, worlds away from the character he played as a youngster.

Meanwhile, 27-year-old actress Ariel wore a black and white polka dot dress with a plunging neckline.

Her long tresses draped elegantly over her clavicle, and she posed with her arm on her hip.

The image was shared by both Gould and Tyler Ferguson to Instagram along with a caption that read: ‘New year, new lunch with the fam.’

Fans couldn’t believe Gould’s transformation and confessed they almost didn’t recognize him.

Taking to the comments, one said: ‘Bro Luke looks so different.’

‘Woah didn’t recognize Nolan for a second,’ wrote another.

On Reddit, a third continued: ‘Luke with facial hair?!?! They all look so great.’

‘Didn’t even recognize him without a quizzical expression in his face,’ added a fourth.

Others simply went wild to see the Dunphy children hanging out with their uncle.

‘OH I’M IN TEARS,’ one said. ‘I LOVE NOLAN SO MUCH AND JESSE AND ARIEL. PLEASE REUNITE , MODERN FAMILY.’

‘I am loving these reunions, keep them coming!’ another commented. ‘I am here for it!’

A third added: ‘Love to see you guys together! Makes me so happy.’

Gould starred alongside Winter and Sarah Hyland on Modern Family as the children of Claire and Phil Dunphy, who were played by Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell.

The hit single-camera comedy ran for 11 seasons and documented the hilarious hijinks of an extended family, which included stars Sofia Vergara, Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet and Rico Rodriguez.

Gould’s most recent acting work was in 2023 when he appeared in the films Miranda’s Victim, The Nana Project and Camp.

He also played a college student with an unknown illness on Grey’s Anatomy alongside Ellen Pompeo in 2022.

Tyler Ferguson has kept in contact with his Modern Family co-stars, having recently reunited with his on-screen daughter Frances Anderson, 18.

Last month, he revealed he went to see Anderson, who played Lily on the show, as she starred in a stage production of The Wizard of Oz.

‘Aubrey was the most gorgeous Dorothy, of course!’ he said alongside a series of snaps.

‘So, so proud of you. Love you.’
