Poco officially announced the launch of the new Poco M8 5G series, which includes two phones: Little M8 andPoco M8 Pro 5G, within the category of mid-range phones, with the series relying on Snapdragon processors from Qualcomm.

Poco M8 5G phone launched

The Poco M8 phone works with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, with up to 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and internal storage capacities of up to 512 GB UFS 2.2, with support for memory expansion. The phone runs on the HyperOS 2 interface based on Android 15, with a set of artificial intelligence features such as Google Gemini and the Circle to Search feature.

The phone comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a brightness of up to 3200 nits, with PWM dimming at a frequency of 3840 Hz and 12-bit color depth.

In terms of photography, the Poco M8 includes a 50-megapixel main rear camera of the Light Fusion 400 type, along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor, while the front camera comes with a resolution of 20 megapixels.

The phone relies on a 5520 mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. It also gets an integrated fingerprint sensor under the screen, IP66 water and dust resistance, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, in addition to an IR device, and support for 5G networks, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1.

Introducing the Poco M8 Pro 5G phone

As for the Poco M8 Pro 5G phone, it comes with a powerful processor, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, with the Poco IceLoop cooling system to improve heat control, and it also runs the HyperOS 2 interface based on Android 15.

The phone includes a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a brightness of up to 3200 nits, with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and high-frequency PWM dimming. The screen is also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

In terms of cameras, the Poco M8 Pro offers a dual rear imaging system that includes a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 main camera with OIS optical stabilizer, along with an 8-megapixel wide camera, while the front camera comes with a 32-megapixel resolution.

The phone contains a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 6500 mAh, which supports 100-watt fast charging, in addition to wired reverse charging with a capacity of up to 22.5 watts. The phone also supports a built-in fingerprint sensor under the screen, water and dust resistance with an IP68 standard, with support for NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology.

Prices

In terms of prices, the Poco M8 5G is available at $229 for the 8/256 GB version, and $279 for the 8/512 GB version, with discounted prices for the early order period amounting to $209 and $259, respectively.

As for the Poco M8 Pro 5G, its price starts at $299 for the 8/256 GB version, and reaches $359 for the 12/512 GB version, with early order discounts that reduce the price to $279 and $339. Early order offers continue until January 14.
