It was a stark departure from the much sleeker styles that stars like Reese Witherspoon, Taylor Swiftand Jennifer Aniston were wearing at the end of 2025.

Of course, it’s notthatshocking. I myself experienced Midwest winters growing up, and my tried and true puffers were always the warmest. The only thing I didn’t love was the style, or, lack thereof, and I often only wore them out of necessity, not want.

I don’t think Marilyn Monroe was referring to a quilting pattern when she sang “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” but this Sam Edelman puffer is so epic, I’m going to pretend it was the case. Not only does this one have a zipper and snaps for two means of closure, but it also has a drawstring at the hem that you can cinch for a sleeker shape. Most importantly though, it’s machine-washable, so you don’t have to carry those salt and dirt stains with you from year to year.
