In reality, the First Daughter was seen striking a pose with a close-knit circle of childhood friends whom she’s known for many years.

Trump, 44, often spends time with the glamorous group at various social events and, most recently, they were captured together once again in a series of photos shared to Instagram from her belated birthday celebration in New York.

While the images gave a glimpse into the former Advisor to the President’s social life, public relation experts told the Daily Mail they also could be used as a way for Trump to distance herself from the White House and to help her create a relaxed persona.

Jaycie Cooper, the principal PR consultant at Cooper Communications, said Trump is using the pictures of her long-term friendships to remind people of who she was before her father, President Donald Trumpwas in the White House.

‘She’s continuing to transition from the controlled, corporate image she had during her political years to a lifestyle-focused persona,’ Cooper said.

‘She’s signaling a return to the lifestyle and fashion spaces where she originally built her brand and in tandem distancing herself from the political arena.

‘The change from rigid workwear to fashion-forward choices is about audience repositioning than her style.’

Ryan McCormick, managing partner at Goldman McCormick PR, told the Daily Mail that Trump’s online popularity has grown over the years due to her ability to connect with people over her content.

‘She’s already relatable than other people,’ he said. ‘She talks about things that average people kind of go through, and I think that this post that she had with her friends is just another mark of that consistency.’

In the carousel of pictures shared to Instagram on Thursday, Trump looked effortlessly chic in a fitted strapless mini dress which boasted a low-cut top that was adorned with silver sparkles.

She paired the dress with black tights and stilettos, wearing her long, blonde hair straight and flowing over her shoulders.

Her friends looked equally as glamorous, wearing outfits in various dark shades as they posed on a rooftop in Midtown, New York.

While her friends were tagged in the post, none of them have public social media profiles.

They appear to be a mix of friends from Florida – where Trump lives with husband Jared Kushner and their three children: daughter Arabella, 14, and sons Joseph, 12, and Theodore, nine – and New York.

Among the group were pals Lindsay Powers Fox, Lindsay Smith and Flo Fulton Miller who have all been spotted with Trump over the years.

Julie Shaffner Brawn, who co-founded the jewelry brand Alexandra Jules with Alexa Taron in 2015, and Michael Lefton, the senior managing director and global head of capital raising and investor relations at the Starwood Capital Group, were also in attendance.

Tamara Goldstein, who is a noted childhood friend of Trump’s, was also one of the guests.

Speaking about their friendship to New York Magazine in 2016 during Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, she said at the time: ‘We don’t discuss (the politics).

‘I ask her about how she’s doing amongst the chaos of the campaign and about her well-being, since that’s what matters to me. Other than that, I don’t get involved.’

On Trump’s actual birthday, October 30, the mom-of-three celebrated with an intimate lunch in Miami with friend Isabela Grutman, the founder of sustainable women’s clothing line RANGEL and Isa Grutman Jewelry.

Trump also posted a heartfelt post to social media, where she shared the 15 life lessons that she learned over the past year, including her advice on overcoming ‘pain’ and ‘sitting with what shattered.’

The post included assorted photos of her year, which included a snap of her family at her father’s inauguration this past January.
