Ivanka Trump Slammed As Tone Deaf For Flaunting Lavish Lifestyle Just Days After Discussing Food Poverty

Ivanka Trump has been slammed as ‘tone deaf’ and ‘disconnected’ for flaunting her lavish lifestyle just days after discussing food poverty.
The mom-of-three held belated celebrations for her 44th birthday on Thursday night, posing in an elegant black dress with a glamorous group of close friends on a rooftop in New York.
But, while the First Daughter looked as though she was having a wonderful time, social media users slammed Trump for showing off her luxurious bash just days after encouraging Americans to eat nutritious food to improve their health as millions face SNAP cuts.
Jaycie Cooper, the principal PR consultant at Cooper Communications, has since told the Daily Mail that Trump was ‘clearly’ trying to draw a line between her personal and professional spheres with her latest post – but fell short.
‘Glamorous birthday celebrations, health summits and charitable work – the execution does seem disconnected,’ she said.
Cooper said that it makes Trump seem ‘insincere’ by talking about food insecurity one day and flashing her extravagant birthday party the next.
‘This is a common PR challenge for people attempting to straddle both philanthropic and luxury worlds – the messaging can come across as tone-deaf.’
Cooper suggested Trump needs to either ‘fully embrace the luxury lifestyle brand’ or commit herself ‘ authentically’ to the social impact space.

‘Trying to occupy both is going to need nuanced storytelling so she doesn’t continue to look out of touch with the very communities she wants to serve,’ she said.
Trump spoke at the Think Health Summit in Bentonville, Arkansasearlier this month to discuss the importance of food and its connection to people’s health.
In a social media post summarizing what she discussed, she wrote: ‘Today, 129 million Americans have at least one major chronic disease and roughly 60 percent, around 77 million people, have conditions that are diet-related, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes or obesity.
‘If food drives disease, food must be part of the cure, and if food is medicine, farmers are healthcare providers.
‘That’s why last week I joined Arianna Huff and visionary leaders at the Think Health Summit in Bentonville to explore one of the most powerful tools for better health: food.’
Trump also spoke about Planet Harvest, a company she co-founded with Melissa Ackerman in 2023 to reduce food waste by creating a market for imperfect produce.
She announced the company donated 5,000 boxes filled with ‘fresh produce, protein, and science-backed, chef-developed recipes to families in need across Northwest Arkansas.’
‘And we’re just getting started,’ she continued. ‘Through Planet Harvest, we’re creating a new market for the 30 percent of nutritious and delicious produce that never leaves the farm because it doesn’t meet arbitrary cosmetic size, shape, or color standards – aligning what’s good for our farmers, families, and the planet.’

Social media users took to the comments section of Trump’s post to share their thoughts.
‘People haven’t been paid for two months because of your daddy,’ wrote a user, referencing President Donald Trump.
‘Most tone deaf family in America,’ someone else commented.
‘TELL TRUMP TO RELEASE THEM (FOOD) STAMPSSS!!’ said another.
