The comet C/2025 A6 (lemon) was first monitored on January 3 by a team at the Mount Limon Sky Center in the Santa Catalina Mountains in Arizona, while he was pushing towards the inner solar system at a speed of up to 209 thousand km/h. This comet is classified as “non -periodic”, which means that the period of its rotation around the sun changes and takes more than a thousand years, as scientists estimate that its current session takes 1350 years, most of which spend the cloud of Ort – that remote area on the edge of the solar system.

The comet “Lemon” will reach the nearest point from Earth on October 21, where it will be 90 million km from our planet, 230 times further from the moon. A few weeks later, on November 8, will reach the closest point of the sun (solar bottom) before he started his long journey back to the external parties of the solar system.

Modern photos of the guilt show a bright green glow, which is likely due to the presence of a bi -corn carbon in its gas cover. Recent years have witnessed the emergence of several green comets, including the comet C/2022 E3 and the “Satanic” guilty/12p/Bons-Brooks.

As the comet approaches the sun, it will increase its shine as a result of the expansion of the invading and dusty cloud surrounding it, which makes it reflect more sunlight towards the Earth. It is expected that its brightness will reach a degree of 5 on the shine scale, which makes it a little afraid to see the naked eye.

But some experts expect the shine of the comet to reach 4 degrees – a degree sufficient to see without monitoring equipment, according to the Space.com report.

The comet can currently see “lemon” using most astronomical monitoring equipment, and it will become more clear as its shine increases in the coming weeks. The guilty will be visible in the constellation of the lymph, between Jupiter and the stars in the largest bear group, and will reach the peak of its shine in mid -October.

Experts advise astronomers in the northern hemisphere to try to monitor it before sunrise or immediately after sunset.
