Apple Pledges Help Following Devastating Storms In Asia

After pledging donations to help victims of the recent Hong Kong fire, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced today that the company will also make donations to relief and rebuilding efforts across several Asian countries. Here are the details.
Apple steps up yet again
Devastating rainfall across Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka has reportedly killed than 1.200 people and affected millions. At the same time, floods, landslides, strong winds, and other hazards have caused widespread displacement, agricultural losses, and devastated entire communities.
As it does in emergencies and when natural disasters strike across the world, Apple has pledged to help with relief efforts with an unspecified amount that will go towards relief and building efforts.
Here is Cook’s announcement, made earlier today on X:
Storms across Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka have devastated communities. At Apple, we’re thinking of everyone affected, and will be donating to relief and building efforts on the ground.

His announcement comes just days after he made a similar pledge to help relief efforts following the devastating housing complex fire in Hong Kong, which in turn came months after Apple also pledged to help those affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Apple also has an internal donation program called Employee Giving, which has raised than $880 million to date through a donation matching policy.
