Honor has quietly launched a new phone in the Play series in the Chinese market, revealing the Honor Play 60A without any extensive official announcement. The phone is already available for purchase through the official Honor store in China, and is offered in only one version of RAM and storage.

Honor launches the economical Play 60A phone

Honor Play 60A comes with a 6.75-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution, with support for a 90Hz refresh rate. Which provides a relatively smooth viewing experience in the economic category.

The phone relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor that supports fifth generation networks, and is coupled with 6 GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 128 GB. The device runs Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0 interface.

In terms of photography, the Play 60A offers a 13-megapixel rear camera, along with a 5-megapixel front camera, with support for 1080p video recording. The phone focuses mainly on simple daily use rather than providing an advanced photography experience.

The phone is equipped with a 5,300 mAh battery, with support for 15-watt wired charging. It also retains a 3.5 mm headphones port, supports 5G networks, connectivity via dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.3.

The weight of the device is 187 grams, with a thickness of 7.89 mm for the side frame. The manufacturing materials are plastic, whether the back or the frame, while the front is made of glass.

Honor Play 60A is available in three colors: Azure Sky, Inky Black Rock, and Lake Blue, and is sold at a price of 1,599 Chinese yuan, equivalent to about 220 US dollars for the only 6/128 GB version. See also: Reno 15C phone officially launched.
