Taylor Momsen has revealed she can still fit into her costume from the classic Christmas film How the Grinch Stole Christmas over two decades later.

The actress and singer, 32, played Cindy Lou Who alongside Jim Carrey as the Grinch in the beloved movie, which was released in 2000.

25 years on, Momsen shocked fans when she squeezed into her character’s adorable dress.

In a video shared on her Instagram page this week, she filmed herself getting zipped into the outfit for a Grinch-inspired photoshoot.

Although Momsen struggled to get the sleeves of the dress over her muscular arms, the entertainer opted to wear the ensemble off the shoulder.

She matched the red and green gingham dress, which featured extravagant plates of food, with a pair of her signature black combat boots.

Captioning the upload, Momsen wrote: ‘Yes… that is my real Cindy costume from the Grinch movie. 25 years later… it still (kind of) fits. What a surreal holiday season.’

Fans went wild over the video and voiced their joy in the comment section.

‘This is incredible, what a surreal full circle moment for you,’ one wrote.

‘Omg this is so sweet!’ said another. ‘I bet it felt so surreal to unbox it after so many years.’

A third penned: ‘So much fun, what a great memory for you!’

Last month, Carrey and Momsen reunited 25 years after they both starred in How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

The pair were seen smiling and embracing each other at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on November 8 in Los Angeles.

It marked the first time the stars have seen each other since working together on their hit movie.

In a recent interview with Vulture, Momsen recalled how Carrey was ‘incredibly protective’ of her on the set of the Grinch.

The singer was just seven at the time of filming.

She said that her co-star was ‘always looking out for me, checking in, making sure I was OK, because he was very animated, very over the top.’

‘I always felt really safe with Jim,’ she added. ‘I liked being around him.

‘At such a young age, to watch an artist who is that serious at what they’re doing even while playing this very over-the-top character, it was clear to me how much he was putting into it and how much of an artist he was.’

Carrey also praised working with Momsen and described her as ‘an incredibly precocious child’ and ‘smart beyond her years.’
