‘My whole life in America, I’m used to guys making the first move,’ she said.

‘If you’re a hot girl standing at the bar, you’re getting everything paid for.’

She said the American guys aren’t usually ‘creepy or weird’ when they approach her, but they will pull out all the stops to impress her and her friends.

‘Most of the time I’d go out with my friends and we could go up to the bar and not pay for a single thing ever. Like ever,’ Tayler explained.

Tayler Stevenson, who splits her time between the US and the Gold Coast, thought it was odd that Aussie guys made no effort to shoot their shot at nightclubs.

However, she laughed as she clarified that she now has a boyfriend so she doesn’t need any guys approaching her in public.

Many women agreeing with Tayler’s observation about Aussie men.

‘It’s so weird! You can go out all night and not talk to anyone else but your friend group you went out with – it’s wild,’ one said.

‘The biggest culture shock as a Canadian now living in Australia. It’s crazy,’ another foreigner shared.

‘It’s the same in New Zealand, first time I went clubbing overseas the male attention I received was INSANE. Didn’t realise it could be like this,’ one revealed.

Many Aussie women weighed in, with one explaining why they prefer Aussie men not to hit on them.

‘This is what we want. They literally leave us alone so we can enjoy our night,’ one woman said, laughing.

But not everyone agreed, with one confessing: ‘I have a boyfriend but I still want other men’s attention.’

Many Aussie men said they no longer buy drinks for strangers due to the cost of living.

‘When drinks were cheap in Australia, it was normal to buy women drinks. Now drinks are $20 to $25 so it’s not done any ,’ one man said.

‘Considering you have to work one hour to buy one drink in Australia, we’re picky with who we buy drinks for. Just saying,’ another explained.

Meanwhile, one American guy living in Australia confirmed: ‘Cali boy here… I’ll walk up to a pretty girl no matter what! You miss all the shots you don’t take.’

Many single women from other parts of the world revealed they may need to consider moving to the US just to get hit on.

‘I need to move to the US. In the UK, guys come up to you and ask YOU if you’re paying for THEIR drink,’ one shared.

Another British woman chimed in, ‘OMG I thought I was the only one this happened to in the UK, like what!’

It isn’t the first time Tayler has spoken out about Aussie men.

Last year, she revealed how things were ‘backwards’ in Australia because men don’t approach her in public.

‘When I first moved here, not a single guy came up to me at the clubs and hit on me. I found it a bit weird, I was offended,’ she said in a

.

What she found even strange was when she started going out to clubs with her boyfriend.

‘Every time we go out to the clubs, there are a thousand girls coming up to him and hitting on him – and no guys come up to me at all,’ Tayler said.

‘Is that how it is here? Do the girls put in the work? Is it just a bit backwards?’

The culture shift from back home was jarring.

‘In North America, the guys come up to the girls. I don’t know any girls who would go up to a guy,’ she said.

Tayler also noticed that men Down Under were lacking in the height department.

‘Why is every single guy short?’ she asked.

‘I’m a pretty short girl, and I tower over all these men at the club.’
