The star, now 63, recently sat down on the Still Here Hollywood Podcast with Steve Kmetko, during which he reflected on his time on the show, as well as the downsides to fame.
Melrose Place was created by Darren Star and Aaron Spelling, and followed a group of young adults living in an apartment complex in West Hollywood.
It premiered on Fox in 1992, and went on for seven seasons before it ended in 1999; it also starred Heather Locklear, Andrew ShueCourtney Thorne-Smith and Thomas Calabro.
While chatting with Kmetko on the podcast this week, Show explained that he never expected the show to take off like it did.

‘There are other things that happen that you don’t see happening. You start to lose your ability to be out in the public,’ he recalled.
‘There’s a thing that happens with fame that I saw happening not just with myself but with everybody.
‘When it’s that kind of fame you kind of lose your humanity… the way other people see you, they don’t see you as a human being any , they see you as the character you’re playing and they have a relationship with you that is really one-sided.
‘It’s very dehumanizing. I think that’s where all the bad behavior comes from (with) famous people.

‘I think I was a pretty decent human being most of my life, but I look back on some behaviors that I had. I was like, that was really not good. And (it wasn’t) me either.’
