The 45-year-old actress shared a stomach-turning story on the Tuesday, Nov. 18 episode ofToday with Jenna & Friends.
“One of the grossest things I’ve ever done in my life — I can’t believe I’m saying this right now. Oh no! I’ve already started,” theNewsroomstar began. “I was working. I was really tired. This decision came from being exhausted. I was staying in this hotel, the Shangri-La in Vancouver, and they have amazing sushi.”
Munn, who is co-hosting the show this week, continued, “I needed to take a bath, and I also needed to eat. So I put the sushi next to the bathtub. And I had the bath going. And I got busy and I came back and I was in the bath and I started eating the sushi from the bath.”

The decision proved to be a costly one as Munn learned the next day.
“I had food poisoning the next day. I was at the airport at the gift shop, just, like, (throwing up) into the trash can from afar,” Munn recalled. “I was like, ‘I don’t feel… (mimes puking).’ ”
Munn felt that placing her sushi on the ledge of her bathtub led to her illness, adding, “Sushi’s not supposed to be heated by bath water for sure.”
She noted that despite her faux pas, “It didn’t taste heated up. It was still cold.”

The mother of two cringed as she shared her regrettable tale, jokingly adding, “I hate myself for telling that story.”
Despite the food poisoning experience, Munn shared, “I love a bath. I need a bath. It’s the quiet time. I just get to relax.”
Munn is clearly comfortable in the bath. Back in October, the actress shared on
that she spent the night in her hotel’s bathtub in Paris. Noting that her parents were staying in her hotel room, Munn showed off the suite, writing, “Asian families have zero personal space.”
“This is where I’m sleeping tonight,” Munn quipped, climbing into the bathtub. “Oh, it’s not bad!”
