The Grand Touring model of the Lucid Air covered a distance of 1,205 kilometers on a single charge, setting, according to Lucid Motors, the record for the longest range traveled by an electric car among models currently available on the market. This achievement has been documented in the Guinness Book of World Records.

This record trip was achieved on a route extending from St. Moritz in Switzerland to Munich in Germany, across various routes that included winding mountain roads and highways (Autobahns), which adds additional importance to this achievement.

For comparison, the official declared range of the Grand Touring model is 960 kilometers, according to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standard, but it actually exceeded this number by about 250 kilometers.

Lucid did not reveal all the technical details related to the trip, but it confirmed that the driving conditions were close to normal daily use, noting that previous tests recorded a lower range of about 160 kilometers.

The model is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 110 kilowatt-hours, and is powered by electric motors with a power of 831 horsepower. Its price in Europe starts from 132,900 euros.

The Lucid family also includes the most available Air Pure AWD model, which has an engine power of 422 horsepower and a range of up to 747 kilometers. The highest-performance model, the Lucid Air Sapphire, generates 1,205 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just two seconds.

In comparison, the official range of Lucid’s most prominent competitor, the Tesla Model S Long Range, is 660 kilometers according to the EPA standard, but this range actually decreases to 450-500 kilometers when driving in conditions such as mountain roads.
