Snapple’s beloved glass bottles are making a triumphant comeback.

The drink brand announced on Wednesday, Oct. 15, that after demand from an “overwhelming” amount of customers, it will package fan-favorite flavors in the nostalgic bottles this fall.

Snapple began phasing out glass bottles in 2017 and they were entirely removed in 2021, a spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE.

Five flavors will make an appearance in the repackaging: Snapple Apple, Kiwi Strawberry, Peach Tea, Zero Sugar Peach Tea and Lemon Tea. Each will be available for $3.99.

Unfortunately, the limited-time return won’t be available nationwide. The glass bottles will be available at stores and bodegas in New York City from October through December, per a press release.

The Big Apple was selected as the only place to snag the glass bottles for a specific reason, a spokesperson told Today: “The focus on New York pays homage to Snapple’s Brooklyn birthplace where the brand has retained a higher level of fandom.”

The decision to swap glass for plastic bottles back in 2017 was fueled by the company’s desire to reduce their environmental footprint, according to the brand’s website. Snapple’s current bottles are made out of 100% recycled plastic and 80% less material than the glass bottles.

The drink aisle is full of nostalgic sips.

Diet Coke is bringing back Retro Diet Coke Lime nationwide this fall. The limited-time return comes in 12-pack cans or 20‑oz. bottles, both of which have red and neon green retro-inspired packaging.

The citrusy flavor was last available in 2018 and will be back for a limited time but doesn’t have a specific end-date.
