I’ve lusted after the silk Minnelli shirt – cream with a black tie – in Bella Freud’s main line for a long time, but have never been able to justify spending £475.

Now it’s back again, via M&S, in 100 per cent silk for a fraction of the price at £120.

I’ll be wearing it with black trousers for every evening event on my calendar. So easy, yet so chic.
